Three luxury townhomes
345 Beach Road, Black Rock

Overlooking the glistening Black Rock waterfront, Bask presents a trio of townhomes defined by uncompromised luxury and natural beauty. Sublimely positioned on Beach Road, here, days are replete with breathtaking bay views, and the unmistakeable scent of the sea breeze. There is an inimitable sense of calm that occurs when one lives by the sea, one that is granted wholly to residents of Bask. Each home is painstakingly considered and exceptionally designed, paving the way for an elevated and enlivened way of life.

Luxury living takes on a new form within the perfectly appointed walls of Bask. With the coveted Adele Bates at the helm of interiors, these three beautifully spaced townhomes depict an amalgamation of considered floor plans, bespoke detailing and immaculate finishes. Gifted with panoramic views of the sea and sky, these unforgettable homes seek to emulate the beauty of their naturally exquisite surrounds, forming retreats of unabated bliss for your everyday living.

“With elevated living areas and expansive outdoor terraces, we’ve designed Bask so that the stunning bay view is maximised from every angle. This, along with large, considered floor plans and bespoke features, makes it a truly outstanding place to call home.”

David Cooke,
Director at DCA Design

Delivering a refined addition to picturesque Beach Road, Bask’s exterior is synonymous with understated elegance. The symmetrical form is visually cohesive, achieving a proud and dignified appearance. Championing a monochrome palette, the facade exudes an air of modern sophistication, offset by the organic, gentle feel of the abundant landscape design. On the second level, spacious terraces serve to integrate in and outdoor living fluidly; allowing residents to admire the dazzling bay views with ease.

Bespoke details define the identity and exemplary finish of these three exquisite homes.

Natural stone

Adorning the benchtops and splashbacks, natural stone is the focal point of the kitchens. Selected for its durability as well as its elegant yet organic appearance, this finish is one that draws in the eye, made even more beautiful with the illumination of natural light. A unique sentiment, it connects with the timber joinery on the bench top, presenting a beautiful contrast of texture and detail.

Custom-designed basin and bath

The bathrooms of Bask are gifted with exclusive Adele Bates custom-designed basins. Understated and refined, they exist as stylish furniture pieces as well as features of practicality. The bathtubs here are also custom designed; crafted for functionality and luxury all at once.

“Designed to complement the bayside location, Bask looks and feels like luxury. We’ve utilised a beautiful natural palette with rich textured timbers and sand-like natural travertine, along with natural stone in the kitchens. The finishes are really what make these homes so divine.”

By the bay, life’s ebb and flow moves at a slightly different rhythm to that of the rest of the world. There is an air of serenity specific only to bayside living, and a warm, village atmosphere that resonates through every facet. Black Rock is exemplary of this, an affluent suburb frequently described as a ‘perpetual holiday’. Just up the road from Bask, the shopping village presents a hub of vibrant bars, trendy cafes and plentiful food stores, alongside high-end boutiques. The pristine Black Rock Beach delivers an idyllic backdrop to all this festivity, with Half Moon Bay also just a stone’s throw away.

Bask across Black Rock’s stunning beaches.

Black Rock is renowned far and wide for its picturesque beaches, majestic cliff faces and scenic promenades. Bask’s residents are lucky enough to live within the clutches of all of this, the bay quite literally on their doorstep. The bay trail ambles past the home, a walkway gifted with panoramic views of the seascape. Follow the path 800m to Black Rock Beach, a calm inlet for moments partial to pure tranquility. Just a little further up, the world-famous Half Moon Bay is the livelier of the two beaches, where a fishing pier, yacht club and restaurant stake their claim. This crescent-shaped cove is also home to the historic HMVS Cerberus – a shipwrecked breastwork monitor that served in the naval forces from 1871.

Black Rock locals are afforded a plethora of dining delights, right at their doorstep.

While drawing inspiration from Melbourne’s biggest names in hospitality, Black Rock’s dining scene wholly embraces the uniquely bayside vibe of its locale. Venues reinterpret the inner-city eatery in a distinctly ‘seaside’ kind of way, be it in the form of vibrant décor, a seafood-focused menu or a fun list of tropical cocktails. From industrial-chic bars to sophisticated European restaurants, Black Rock village plays host to a myriad of hotspots, where every night of the week presents a new opportunity to discover flavours and ingredients from around the globe. Stroll down to the Half Moon Bay foreshore, where a further selection of restaurants allow for dining experiences backdropped by the sea.

  • True South

  • Cerberus Beach House

True South

Directly opposite the beach, True South is the gastronomic darling of Black Rock. It’s where locals congregate in pursuit of delectable Argentinian tapas, house-brewed craft beer and of lively sessions in the sun. Sit yourself down within the industrial interiors, upon the ambient rooftop or out front, where the sea breeze provides relief on those warmer days. The menu’s game changer is undoubtedly the ‘Feed Me’ option, where True South does the thinking for you, assembling and presenting their very best.

Cerberus Beach House

Overlooking the magnificent scenery of Half Moon Bay, the multifaceted Cerberus Beach House is a cherished part of the local fabric. Beachgoers flock to the thriving kiosk at ground level, where fish and chips, burgers and ice creams are tasked with reviving and replenishing those returning from a swim around the bay. Up top, the fine dining restaurant specialises in seafood; serving everything from seared tuna and ‘catch of the day’ to chilli crab dumplings and sushi. Pair one of these with a good wine and views of the bay at sunset, and you’ve got yourself a truly magical night out.

Uncle Bart

The recently renovated Uncle Bart is an unpretentious, family-owned cafe, where everyone who visits is treated to a dose of European-style hospitality, and leaves wholly satisfied. The coffee is considered by locals to be some of Melbourne’s best, paired with a menu that whilst generous, doesn’t compromise on quality. Fusing contemporary brunch dishes with a cabinet brimming with authentic Greek sweets, this local treasure is bound to become a home away from home for Bask’s future residents.

Ventuno 21

From the team behind beloved local icon Cerberus Beach House, when Ventuno 21 opened on Bluff Rd, it was a sure-fire success. The beautifully designed restaurant and wine bar is the kind of venue you’d expect to find in South Yarra or the city – sophisticated and a tad luxe, with a distinct cosmopolitan vibrancy. Steered by authentic Italian recipes, but not tied down by them, the menu explores a bevy of exciting flavours, where Middle Eastern spices are subtly infused into pizzas, pastas and risottos.

Boutiques, delis and specialty produce are on offer in your locale.

With variety so covetable, days spent traipsing Black Rock’s retail offerings are bound to become a regular occurrence for residents of Bask. Echoing the same bayside-chic aesthetic witnessed in many of the cafes and restaurants, luxury boutiques and high-end gift shops showcase beautifully designed pieces curated with meticulous care. For all your grocery requirements, the plentiful village is more than equipped – a strip where amicable shop owners know your name and regular order by heart. Here, French bakeries are met with homemade pasta stores, and family-run fruit shops with abundant chain supermarkets, ensuring there’s never any shortage of choice.

Tailored linens, sheer cottons and luxury knits adorn the racks, pieces for the contemporary yet feminine wardrobe.
